Edward W. Rihn, 54, is president and CEO of BHE Transmission, which is comprised of AltaLink, BHE Canada, BHE Montana and BHE U.S. Transmission. Prior to this role, Ed served in various leadership roles within BHE Canada, AltaLink, and Air Products and Chemicals.

Ed has 30 years of experience, including business development, corporate development, government relations, indigenous relations, customer service, consultation, project management and construction management. His career spans industrial gases and chemicals, hydrogen, pipelines, power generation and electric transmission.

Rihn holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Clarkson University and an executive master’s in technology management from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as a member of the Canadian American Business Council’s board of directors, TransCanyon LLC board of management, AltaLink board of directors and the Kiski School board of visitors. He is the immediate past chair of the YMCA of Calgary.
