Policies and Programs
All suppliers working with Berkshire Hathaway Energy and its businesses must comply with all policies and programs identified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
OFAC administers and enforces economic sanctions programs primarily against countries and groups of individuals, such as terrorists and narcotics traffickers. The sanctions can be either comprehensive or selective, using the blocking of assets and trade restrictions to accomplish foreign policy and national security goals.

Suppliers are required to screen their business operations, partners, and transactions against these lists to ensure compliance with U.S. sanctions regulations. Failure to comply with OFAC regulations may result in civil and criminal penalties.
