Berkshire Hathaway Energy and IBEW Partner to Advance Diversity and Inclusion

“Together with IBEW, we’re working to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that enriches the lives of our employees, enhances the communities where we live and work, and delivers positive business results,” said Bill Fehrman, president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Energy. “We look forward to rolling up our sleeves and getting to work with IBEW to promote inclusion, build strategic partnerships and attract talent in new ways within the industry.”

BHE-IBEW Stronger Together has a vision to attract, engage, retain and inspire a diverse and inclusive workforce where all individuals are respected, recognized, valued and empowered to fully participate in and contribute to the success of Berkshire Hathaway Energy and IBEW.

Through this partnership, Berkshire Hathaway Energy and IBEW will work together to develop and expand outreach, recruitment and marketing to the next generation of workers from nontraditional and historically marginalized communities in the geographic locations served jointly by Berkshire Hathaway Energy and IBEW; adopt strategic partnerships with existing programs and local chapters that promote industry inclusion; and implement local solutions to deliver on Berkshire Hathaway Energy and IBEW’s shared vision.
